WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (31-0) put the WBO middleweight champion, Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (29-0), on blast. The former accused the latter of ducking their fight and threatened to knock him out inside six rounds. Andrade, in a different interview, responded to Charlo’s comments.

Jermall and Demetrius have been going back and forth for a long time. Unfortunately, these two never fought each other. When asked about it, Jermall said:

“I just finished knocking out ‘J Rock’ [Julian Williams], right? This mother***** was in the stands. He’s seen the brutal knockout. He’s scared as sh*t, you know what I mean? He didn’t wanna fight my brother [Jermell Charlo],” Jermall Charlo told Brian Custer on The Last Stand Podcast.

On December 13, 2014, Andrade was supposed to fight Jermall’s twin brother, Jermell. However, the bout never materialized, as Andrade pulled out because of pay issues.

Paul Andrade, the father of Demetrius, claimed that his son was offered a mere $250,000 for the fight, although The Ring Magazine claimed Showtime offered $500,000 to Andrade.

“He turned the fight down. Bro, we trained our a** off to get ready to knock his a** out, and we get to the week of the fight, and he turned the fight down. He denied us. That’s like they let all my fans down. He messed the business. It was a lot of money lost. It was a lot going on at that point. We even had to fight somebody else at that point. My brother did. [Do] you know what I am saying? He never wanted to fight.”

Jermall Charlo Promises to Knock Out Demetrius Andrade

Jermall said Andrade is irrelevant and cannot sell out a crowd. He also referred to him as a “clown.” Charlo then promised to knock out Andrade within six rounds.

“Bro, I would blow his f***** mind with these straight right hands, and I’ll promise you, he can’t even last five-six rounds. That pressure different out here, y’all tripping.”

In January 2020, Andrade told Boxing Scene that Eddie Hearn offered $7 million to Jermall. But Charlo did not take the fight. Check out Jermall’s response below.

“That’s all cap. Whatever happened between the team, I have never talked to Eddie Hearn, ever, besides on my [Instagram] live. Other than that, I don’t know what y’all talking about. That’s all f***ing bull****.”

Like before, Charlo accused Andrade of hiding behind a network and managers.

Andrade Responds to Charlo

In a separate interview with Custer, Demetrius Andrade mocked Jermall Charlo’s call-out and said he found it funny.

“Like yo, that’s just mad funny. That’s just mad funny to me. Let’s just make it happen, you know? At the end of the day, like I said, I don’t need to go back and forth with the sh*t talking. If you want to fight, bro, let’s make the fight happen.”
