Reigning UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic talked about a potential fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson and gave an update on fighting Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury.

A few days before his scheduled bout with Francis Ngannou at UFC 260, Stipe Miocic made the headlines for mentioning two of the biggest names in British boxing – Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

When asked to provide an update on the “call-out,” Miocic said nobody from Fury or Joshua’s side contacted him yet.

“No, no, nothing yet. I got a task in my hand right now,” Stipe Miocic told TMZ Sports. “I gotta worry about Saturday. That’s all I care about but listen, I’d love to dip my toe in that ring.”

Miocic confirmed that boxing was his second love in an earlier interview with ESPN.

After training and competing for a year and a half in boxing, Miocic eventually returned to MMA.

Realistically, Miocic’s boxing is not on the same level as Fury or Joshua. However, the 38-year-old feels he can make something happen.

“This is a fight, man. Anything can happen. I know I can make something happen,” Miocic added.

Fury vs. Joshua is expected to go down this year. The winner of that bout could be the Greatest Heavyweight Boxer of the modern-era.

Stipe Miocic on Fighting Mike Tyson

When the TMZ reporter asked Stipe Miocic whether he would fight Mike Tyson, the Ohioan said:

“I will pass on that one. That dude looks exactly the same when he fought Roy Jones Jr. than when he was like 20 years old. So, no. I’m good.”

Miocic added: “I love Mike Tyson. I think he’s awesome.”

Although Stipe wants nothing to do with Mike Tyson, he will fight someone with similar power.

Should he beat Ngannou, the heavyweight champ might fight Jon Jones or one of the aforementioned boxers next.
